hey..i read somewhere that he gulbis actually tours using his own private jet..i know his family is rich but i didn't know he is that rich.can anyone of you guys confirm if this is true? just curious..

Dad's a millionaire and if kiddie is travelling around in private jet, than Dad MUST be THAT rich. This is the first I've heard of a private jet though so Kaitepai or Dani are probably better placed to answer.

I haven't found any pictures anywhere, but the websites all say the same thing "Ernests comes from a very wealthy family and has been known to travel to matches in a private jet."

If the family has money it makes sense. The players on the challengers and futures circuit make next to nothing. In the early part of his career why not travel in style? LOL. If anyone finds a picture of the jet, let us know.

tenstar: I think I've finally sussed out someone we know. It's not CBS she has but SAD syndrom. As in having Secret Andy Desires, or even the other form Secretly Admires Djokovic. The whole EG thing is a smoke-screen.

haha i had a crush on gulbis when I already knew he was a party boy... he said he partied really really hard before seeing djok win the aussie open, and djok inspired him 2 settle down. so by no means did i think he was sweet before i realised he was pretty hot. private jet... mmm not sure what i think of that, seems pretty poncy.

loots of pple think Moya is hot, ed!! nothing 2 be ashamed of, just not my type. no i dont really think nadals got a hot face, but his body is pretty smoking.

well, according to people who saw the actual match in bucharest, gulbis felt pretty uncomfortable during the entire match.. some of the people watching were making a lot of noise..cellphones ringing..people talking out loud.he gets distracted easily.he couldn't serve well.this happened in beijing too.he couldn't adapt to the humidity and and all that.. he lost the match to davydenko.

Why would you do that? Go to a tennis match and leave your phone on and talk loudly. Just because it's not a GS doesn't mean players don't need to concentrate, surely. Or did they think they were in a cafe? Was the umpire asleep or talking on his/her cell phone as well?!

That's uncalled for. People neglected to turn their cells off in LA as well. Very inconsiderate and a shame he had to deal with it. Really, was the umpire asleep or chatting as well?

i think he said that after in one of his interviews in rolland garros..djokovic also said that he used to be wild during their days at the niki pilic academy in munich. i forgot the exact link though..i'm sorry..

he said he never practised the way he should..djokovic did and had his career and rankings move up a lot quicker than gulbis. i don't know if the two are close to this day or not.

we're almost the same age. can't decide if he comes through as older in interviews, but he is more mature than djokovic speaking in them.

I don't know about age, but Ernests' interviews are more fun and upbeat certainly. Djokovic looks very moody at times.
