Lack of TV in the states... I have to laugh... has to be better than aus - On Channel 7 the Aus open is usually rated the highest of any sporting event through out the year... yet they will not air any other tournaments. I am jealous I am not in the US or Europe for coverage!

I heard when Gimlestob was on the Junkies, then I went back and listened to the online thingy again before they took it down. It wasn't as bad as the tabloid headlines made it out to be, but it was pretty stupid. It was just classless, and it surprised me because I was introduced to that guy twice before at events in LA and he was always a gentleman to me and other women around. It sounded like one of those dumb jock type shows that you would see on Fox Sports late at night or something. The ATP Council is a bunch of guys, so I can see why they didn't get rid of him.

I think the Pro Tennis culture is all about the man's club and the 'perks' and hence the comments by Gimlestob are (sadly) not all that surprising. Regardless of whether or not Anna K was/will ever be taken seriously (or any of the WAGS/groupies) the culture is such that I am sure those things are said all the time and this is an example of when more people have heard it.

A few things to Dutchess and Winona

read up on all the other blogs and you will understand where the hostility regarding Matt/Trintity/Divinty is coming from. Even dani has called all her/his emails garbage, and she/he expects to be paid for it. We have given it a chance, but it only comes out the same line, "you safinnettes are crazy hos, cant bed a player like me" kinda bull. She doesnt want to discuss anything in any other capacity, just sex.

I don't have nasty things to share like Matt !! I have the chance to travel a lot thanks to my job and I can sometimes conciliate tennis and work.

I have been in many tournaments and met some players. In official parties you can meet a majority of argentinian, italian and spanish players. Three years ago I have been in Roma, and I was invited to the player party, women wore sexy and beautiful dresses and players are hot there. Volandri, Starace really enjoyed the party just to put some names.

This year I was in Monaco and I met Marat Safin severals times, he was with a tall and skinny brunette. She seemed to "adore" him but Marat never expressed his feelings on public. He was more "warm" with his friends than with the girl. Looking at the way she was I am sure that she is russian and certainly a model.

I have read many things concerning Marat on parties and I can say that our russian smoke but not that much ! He is not a great dancer but he likes to move his head with the rythm of the music. Each times I saw him, he was surrounded by a bunch of "male friends' and girls tried to draw his attention.

I think that these girls were pathetics and they were ready to do anything but I was surprised to notice that Marat didn't give them his attention. I also noticed that even if he ordered bottles of Champagne and Vodka, he didn't drink that much. His "friends are lucky cause he paid for everything and they drank a lot"

I didn't agree with you when you say that Blake is really nice, I met him and he was always cold and in bad mood.

Concerning Tursunov, I can say that he likes to joke around but don't take him too seriously. It is like he plays a role !!

Well I was also disappointing but noone can be perfect :) !! Regarding my experiences, Monfils is a good dancer but Gasquet is not really "in his place" in parties. He likes to be sure that everyone has noticed that he is here especially in french night clubs. He didn't flirt despite groupies waiting for a sign of him. So I can imagine why people think that he can be gay but not sure of it.

Del Potro is not that bad but he likes girls so much that he is funny to see him tying to seduce one of them. I think he imagines that being a tennis player make the process more easy especially when you are not really handsome.

Robredo was always with his coach and they didn't stay too long on players parties like Tursunov who just made an appearance and came back to the hotel.

I hope this little things are enough interesting cause my aim is not to be "players' friend". I am aware that girls come to them easily so when you are not "skinny, beautiful or famous", they will use you like Matt and forget you just after.

I think that Marat is one of the most handsome guy I have ever seen in my life but his look is terrible (t-shirt wrinkled, hair messed and old shoes) !!!

Players greet others players but they stay with people they know. Some of them bring a bunch of friends (safin for example) others come with their coachs, girlfriend or just with others players from same country. Volandri with Seppi for example.

In these parties, there are more "atp staff" than players. I think they used to that and they go to other places. When you have a match, to come to party is not the good way to win it. They just come to see who is there and come back to hotel.

The French media have never focused upon the Gasquet-Lagardère story. Everybody abroad is making a big deal out of this story, but there weren't any stories about it in the French press. It was simply a rumour going around on the Web. French media have been fine with Gasquet in that regard.
