ummm, welllll. It's sweet and sentimental. There, I was able to find something positive about it. I'd never seen that before so thanks to BE and Allez for bringing it to my attention.

Mirka's taste and style is kind of all over the place, but she does well for spending so much of her time on the road. Traveling killed me, I never seemed to take the right clothes and I took days to recover when I got home. I don't miss that part of my former life at all.

Are you a current or former WAG fangirl? That's exciting. I can imagine that along with travel there can be climate and time difficulties also.

Tian, have you really seen any offensive comments about players posted here? People are free to like or dislike whomever for whatever reasons, but they are just opinions from anonymous names. I'm sure none of them would care (except for the one who keeps posting here, begging and pleading for attention).

fangirl, yes I saw offensive comments here. You can dislike any player you want. Insulting them anonymously on public forums though don't add credit to anyone. Cheryl told us this story under her own name and apart from telling it from her point of view she didn't go further insulting the guy. I can only respect her for this. Unlike some anonymous people who make pretty insuling comments here. Also, I don't quite understabd, isulting comments directed to members of this forum shouldn't be tolerated but insulting comments directed to players are ok? Well, this is a very strange logic.
S0ULJA, as I said already, it's a weird logic. Players don't have to be the part of the fomum and posting offensive comments obout them anonymously shouldn't be acceptable no matter if they are part of this forum or not.
Going back to Cheril's story, with all my respect to Cheryl, I have my own reasons to believe it was more a case of misunderstanding and probably cultural difference and not such a serious issue.

Tian, I really doubt that an American journalist would have a cultural misunderstanding with a guy who has lived in California for so many years. He doesnt even speak with an accent when he's in the US. She is probably the best writer on this site and if she says that he nearly ruined her day with his behavior, I believe her.

I suppose you won't be posting here anymore because of the double standards and strange logic, I hope you find another blog that is more suitable for you.

Yes, Cheryl is good writer and I respect her and actually believe her that she was upset by him. It doesn't change that it could be misunderstanding. As I said, I have my own reasons. First of all becuase I know pretty a lot about the guy to believe that he can do stupid things but he's not a jerk. And second reason, I rememevr how few years ago when Safin was writing the blog dirung Kremlin Cup and Cheryl didn't like some of his comments which were innocent jokes for any russian person. Cheryl howerver took it very seriously and that made me think again about cultural differencies. Many things that considered innocent jokes in russia and other countries are taken as offence in USA, like flirting with a girl can be considered a harrasment etc. There are many examples of that.

This site did not exist a few years ago, so how do you know what Cheryl thinks about anything that far back? Her opinion of Marat has nothing to do with what happened to her in Toronto, you are really stretching there, it seems. Turs did something offensive to her, if you really have an issue then go to her blog and discuss it there. You seem to have these players on a throne and your rock star view of them is just not realistic. They are just guys, and guys don't behave very well until they grow up somewhere around the age of 30.

@Tian: Marat is more Russain and European than Dimitry, so any cultural differences/misunderstandings regarding his comments are understandble. Dima is more americanised than Marat, maybe i am oversimplying their differences, because even the english and americans dont get each others cultures even with the mass media and globalisation.

fangirl , I proabaly didn't explain well (sorry, my english is not so good). I wasn't talking about Cheryl's opinion on Marat and I know that it has nothing to to with Toronto incident. I was just giving the example of how the same thing can be interpreted differently by different people. I read other tennis forum and two years ago I read there Cheryls comment on Marat's blog. She took very serious some things which were just simple jokes for a russian. (ok. I hope my memory is good and it was really Chery and I don't just make a fool out of myself)

Tian - I've really upset the apple cart here it seems. I am confused over two things - one is why you have hijacked Dani's blog about it. cherylmurray, I'm confused why you say it's me who hijacked Dani's blog, but don't mind others who kept on bringing Tursunov issue and posting offensive comments in this and some other Dani's blog entries. I was simply answering to one of these comments. If it's ok to bash a player here over and over and unrelated to blog topic, why can't I say something nice about this very player, for a change? I didn't go to comment on your blog because despite everything you didn't insult him in your blog. Besides, I don't think I can change your opinion which I respect.
